A little bit about Stonebridge

North Raleigh is a hugely popular place to live in the Greater Triangle Area. There are a lot of reasons, but one of them is the opportunity to live in a neighborhood like Stonebridge (see map here). Few neighborhoods have such a wonderful combination of rolling terrain, large forested lots, beautiful amenities, and spacious homes within minutes of all of the awesome North Raleigh lifestyle features. More specifically, the Stonebridge neighborhood is located just north of Interstate 540 between Six Forks Road and Creedmoor Road. There are 520 homes situated on 663 acres of mostly wooded land located just north of the Raleigh city limits in the rolling hills of northern Wake County.

Neighborhood amenities include two pools with a clubhouse, playground, six tennis courts, jogging trails and a soccer field and a wonderful lake for fishing. Stonebridge is a very active community that has opportunities for everyone - from kids to seniors, and couples to groups.

From the Stonebridge Homeowners Association website:

There are many community organizations in Stonebridge. The Swim Team competes with other local community and club teams.
The Junior Tennis team gives kids the opportunity to learn how to play tennis and compete with other tennis teams at various skill levels. The adult tennis programs for ages 18 years and older includes the Women's Team Tennis, World Team Tennis and Wednesday Night Open Tennis programs. Visit the tennis programs page for more details.

Some of the other organizations are the toddler play group, the book club and the wine lovers, to name a few.

According to some of the neighbors...

"We love the Stonebridge Forums -- we all share referrals for repair people and look out for children's safety and suggestions on successful landscaping, gardening and pest control. There are lots of free, well-informed advice on all kinds of topics. We have very intelligent and friendly neighbors. There is also the Stonebridge Trader -- on-line swap shop where we sell and give things away to our neighbors."

And another:

You have to catch the "luminaries at Christmastime" and experience "driving thru the neighborhood with car lights off on Christmas Eve." Also, we have an "active Home Owners Board that helps keep property values up by addressing unsightly problems."

It is easy to understand why people are passionate about their neighborhood! Stonebridge home styles are mostly traditional and transitional in style. They range in size from a little over 2,000  up to 5,000 square feet and are generally priced in the high $300,000's to $700,000's range. Similar subdivisions in the area include Stone Creek to the East, The Gates at Ethan's Glen to the North and Heritage Point to the South.
