Falls Lake is formed by the Neuse River and, in prohibition days, the remote wooded area was popular to moonshiners.  The area was known as the ‘Harricanes’.  A walk in the woods may net you a random glass jug to this day as this explorer can truthfully testify.

1005 Rivermead Lane, Wake Forest, NC 27587

One of the best residential opportunities to live and enjoy the Wake Forest lifestyle is now available to purchase. 1005 Rivermead Lane is a welcoming home, designed and positioned to take advantage of the natural beauty on the property and in the neighborhood - a creek meanders along the eastern property line on its way to Falls Lake. The attractive curb appeal welcomes your guests as they turn onto the long driveway…right up to the broad front porch with plenty of room for rocking chairs and a swing.

The home has a traditional Carolina open floor plan - the guest foyer opens to a formal dining room and living room, crafted with fine millwork details, wainscoting, and moldings. The gorgeous hardwood floors lead to the rear of the main level where there is a huge entertainers kitchen. At the access from the 3-car garage, there is a mud room/family foyer. The family living space includes a fireplace and large breakfast nook that leads onto an awesome deck. Spending just a few minutes in this space, it is easy to envision the comfortable lifestyle this home provides. The huge center island in the kitchen will surely be the place where your guests congregate, and you will be proud to show off the fine features including black granite, custom cherry casework, and stainless appliances.

Upstairs, you will find much more of the same - great quality and smart floorplan. The master retreat stretches over the entire right side of the second floor and includes a separate lounge area that could be converted to a fantastic dressing room. The master bath is spacious and inviting, with double sinks, jetted tub, and opens to the huge walk-in closet. There are three additional good-sized bedrooms and large hall bath, as well as a generous laundry upstairs. The bonus room is truly an excellent space and has a separate stair that leads to the kitchen/mud room area.

As if the luxurious appointments weren’t sufficient to satisfy the discriminating homeowner, this home has been outfitted with a three car garage (epoxy floors and built-in casework), and a huge workshop area with rollup door under the crawl space (built-in work bench, storage, and lighting) - the previous owner had plenty of space to pursue his passion for restoring late-model Pontiac’s. Additionally, the outside lighting has been upgraded to motion-sensitive control, there is a split HVAC system with propane on the first level (natural gas line at the street), there is an invisible fence system in place, and the deck and porch have been treated, the interior has been painted and carpet replaced within the past year. Ready to move in yet?

It’s may be obvious from this description that 1005 Rivermead Lane is a fantastic home and offers a great opportunity to start living the kind of lifestyle you’ve been looking for…

Honestly though, you really should experience this home in person. We’d be happy to give you a personal tour!
